The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. Working with us at SiS will be an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 350 employees working together to support and develop the authority with approximately 4000 employees.
Job Description
As a security specialist, you will have a central and responsible role in our national security work. We work to ensure a safe and secure working environment for our employees and to create a safe care and treatment environment in our institutions. In close collaboration with other functions in the department, you will contribute to developing and strengthening the security work within the authority.
The position is located in the section for operational and personal protection, which belongs to the authority's security department. The section works to provide support and guidance for security work at our institutions and headquarters. In addition to support and guidance, the section is responsible for crisis preparedness and continuity planning, as well as risk and vulnerability work. We also work with personal protection and employee safety, as well as the development and implementation of internal investigations.
Here you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise and, together with other colleagues, help develop the security work throughout the authority. The department promotes a work climate that encourages engagement and development, where there are good opportunities for further skills development in your own and other security areas within the department.
As a security specialist, you will work with:
- Analysis and management of issues related to camera surveillance and follow-up of security-related incidents
- Management of camera systems and camera surveillance areas within the authority
- Follow-up of security-related incidents
- Participating in various internal and external forums where you represent SiS as an authority
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Several years of experience in the field of camera surveillance
- Good understanding of issues related to camera surveillance and how these are handled according to current legislation
- Experience in investigative work and a good ability to handle texts and documentation
- Very good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish
- Good experience in working with various data systems
It is an advantage if you also have experience in:
- Experience in handling processes for applications for camera surveillance
- Knowledge and experience in requirements specification within technical and physical security, for example in procurements
- Cross-agency support and development work within the security area
To thrive and succeed in this position, it is important to be flexible and have good collaboration skills. Since the work involves many contacts both within and outside the authority, we see that you as a person are relationship-building and communicative with the ability to convey messages clearly adapted to the recipient. You work goal-oriented, are solution-oriented, and see opportunities where others see problems. Furthermore, you are used to handling complex and sometimes sensitive information and take great responsibility for your work, driving it in accordance with the authority's strategic goals.
For us, it is important that you share our values – a human view of people, respect for the individual, and a belief in every person's potential to grow and develop. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
At SiS, we care about good employee engagement. This means that you as an employee take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.
